The hotel is very old, and we only stayed there for a couple of hours, but we got everything we wanted: the room was spacious and comfortable, and well equipped. Good shower, good bed, good reception service even late at night.

The breakfast was tasty and there was some choices - for couple of days of stay it wasn’t monotonous. There wasn’t any problem to prepare breakfast for morning travel - waitresses explained everything. The room was clean, fresh and sunny. The location wasn’t crowded and had a good connection to city center (around 10 min) and the most important touristic places.

Good location, close to the city center. Polite and helping staff. Very good and tasty breakfast. Nice old-fashioned European style of rooms and building.

Exceptional staff and service. Very clean as well with daily housekeeping if wanted. The location was perfect as only 2 stops from the city centre via tram service 43 amd 44 along with services 5 and 33 going north and south. The continental breakfast is great value for money if you pre-booked it or pay on daily basis depending on plans. The staff are friendly and very knowledgeable on just about everything and can tell you how to get anywhere or what things to see or do. I won't use any other hotel in Vienna due to all the above.

The price and central location makes this place worth it. The room is very nice! The location is fantastic, but it is an old building beside a busy road so noise travels. If you are a light sleeper, you will not sleep. I recommend earplugs! Problem solved. It was nicer than I expected and the staff were very kind.

I liked everything. Great location, clean & comfortable rooms, nice staff and quiet. The breakfast that you can add onto your booking was well worth it and well presented, modern decor throughout and found my room had more than enough space and very comfortable. Tram lines 43 & 44 right outside into city centre makes it a fabulous location. The staff has made sure there are plenty of pamphlets for concerts and things to do right in reception and they also have maps of inner Vienna for you to use. I can't say enough of how good this hotel and staff are! It will be my go to hotel whenever in Vienna. They also have apartments available to book through Vienna Comfort Apartments for large families or if you just want more space.

Just a short 15 minute walk from the center and the Rathaus Der Stadt is locsted in a very good position just in front of the University Campus. You'll find some restaurants option for the evening (and Zum Gangl in the campus is just amazing) Bed and sofa-bed are comfortable and the kitchen fornitoure great as well as the perfect temperature in winter. It looks very clean and absolutely safe.

I recently stayed at Hotel Pension Excellence with my wife and two children and overall had a positive experience. The staff was friendly and accommodating to our early morning arrival. The room was clean and well-maintained.

Truly appreciate the front desk lady who looked for the best price on public transport for me, from the hotel to the airport. And she did it so well - 6.90 euro only, by tram and train!

the room was very spacious, very warm as it was super cold and snowing, the breakfast options were varied and delicious! It was slightly dated and a bit dusty but quite good value for money.
